What a great idea for a party – gather close friends at a Sydney Harbour-view apartment and have the lovely lady who works as a flight attendant for the Prime Minister serve us cocktails all night!  My friend, Kathryn (aka Kat to me) celebrated her 30th in style. Her cousin Amber is the lovely lady who ‘made’ us drink cocktails all night. They were so delicious!!  Thanks Kat and Amber – AJ and I had a great time! Below are some of my favourites from the night – Kat looked hot in her red shirt dress!!

Yesterday I had breakfast with the Koalas at Sydney Wildlife World with five Girl Guides and we had a great time. The Girl Guides support the Australian Koala Foundation and Reuters were interested in a picture of the Girls with the Koalas in September for Save the Koala month! Below are some fun pics I was able to get of the Koalas. They were really interested in the new leaves coming out for breakfast!

Hello loyal blog readers,

Sorry for the long delay in posts. I have been very busy with many events and because of all this, I injured my arm!  It is on the mend though so you will be seeing more pictures very soon!

Below are pictures of two men who provided brilliant presentations at the National Associations Forum Conference a couple of weeks ago. I was the official photographer for the conference but I also was able to benefit from the sessions on Marketing and Branding (if you didn’t know, I also work as the Media and Marketing Officer at Girl Guides).

Kevin Cahalane of Membership Growth provided some inspirational advice on retaining and attracting members to your not-for-profit organisation. I recommend reading his website.

Peter Shergold, CEO for the Centre of Social Impact at the University of NSW talked about the development of his Centre that will offer valuable information to not-for-profit organisations and also encourage a more socially conscious business world. This is an issue that I studied in my business degree at UTS and had hoped the business world would go in this direction – looking at Society’s welfare rather than just it’s monetary value.  Below is a picture of Peter sharing his vision.
