Carmelo was very disappointed with the apartments they rented in Drummoyne, hoping that they would provide a nice backdrop for family photos. We moved a bit of furniture around and were able to get a ‘prime ministerial’ look with his portraits which was fun. We did brave the wind outside and took some pics at a nearby park. I had to add in another wharf shot of the gorgeous couple as I love that wharf and all the old rusty boats The reception was held at the Le Montage and the room and the food was superb. As you will see form the photos, everyone was enjoying themselves…even ‘caveman’, Rob (Carmelo’s brother) wanted to show me how much he enjoyed his lamb…as evidence in the photo below!

I will start off by showcasing the gorgeous bride, ceremony and location photos. The groom’s photos and the reception at the Le Montage will come in a later post. After visiting the groom’s side of the family I droppped in at the Four Seasons Hotel to capture the Bride getting ready. The room was gorgeous and had a great view of the Opera House, as you will see in the photos! I absolutely loved Roula’s shoes and thought I could get away with sharing two pics. Roula and Carmelo are currently living in Malaysia so it involved a lot of organising on Roula’s part to get all the details organised for a wedding in Sydney. She did an incredible job!! I just love the great decor we had to work with in the hotel and I have always wanted to photograph a bride with a long veil! It was perfect weather for a veil – insanely windy!! The ceremony was held at the Greek Orthodox Parish of St George, Rose Bay. We got to Lilyfield in time to catch the sunset but the wind was very cold and Roula did an incredible job to stay in front of my camera as long as possible before escaping to the warmth of the car. The last shot is the bride and groom sheltering under some boats near the wharf sharing a warm kiss

My lovely March 7 bride, Melissa decided to give her brother, Ben, a gift of photos for his engagement. Mel and her other brother Luke, asked me to do an Engagement/Pregnancy Session and capture some of the engagement party. I met Ben and Louise at ‘the Rock’ which is in the Blue Mountains National Park just out from Mulgoa. It is a beautiful location and quite scary as there is no fencing around the rock and if you slip..well that’s it…down you go! Needless to say we were very careful and we had a lot of fun trying to capture as many moments as possible before the light disappeared! Here are some of the photos we were able to capture in 25 minutes. Ben and Louise are great in front of the camera and have a natural glow and connection. Congrats!

I was given a last minute opportunity to photograph a wedding at Mt Annan Botanic Garden for my friend Alison who I worked with at the RSPCA.

The gorgeous flowers were by Rachel Read Florist, the girls got ready at Rydges Campbelltown, the ceremony was in the Water Garden at Mt Annan Botanic Garden, the celebrant was a friend of the family, Cheryl and Bride wore a beautiful gown from Dress Sense in Miranda.
