I only met Alison a few months ago and we are fast becoming close friends with our shared love of tall men, animals, dessert pizza and our similar sense of humour. Alison works at the RSPCA but started after I left 2 1/2 years ago. She was referred to my photography by the lovely Rachael who is still at the RSPCA. Shaun and Alison met 13 years ago through her brother but it wasn’t until a couple of years ago they realised they were meant to be together!

Their wedding will be on May 17 next year in Santorini and they are taking me with them – we are going to have a lot of fun and the photo opportunities will be incredible! Congrats on the engagement guys…Hyde Park was a lot of fun and can’t wait for the possibilities in Santorini!

It is so lovely when you come to the wedding day and I am referred to as ‘Gemma’ rather than ‘the photographer.’ This is what I aim to do for each wedding, I want my clients to think of me as their friend, not just someone they are paying to provide a product to them. It is so much more than that, it is a service I provide, for them and their family to feel comfortable with with what I am doing and trust in my abilities to provide photos they will love!

Katie and Jono were married by Nathan Reid at Epping Baptist Church and the girls were made up by Hair We Go and Natalie Cummins Beauty Therapy at Normanhurst. The location photos were done at Macquarie University under what Katie calls the ‘kissing trees’ because it looks like they are leaning in to kiss and Muirfield Golf Club provided the reception (and 5 minutes with a golf cart).

I have more pictures to share from the lovely wedding from last weekend. I also wanted to tell you that Clara bought her show-stopper dress from Sassy’s Boutique in Bankstown, the flowers she did herself, the church was the gorgeous Camden Anglican, the reception was set up at Macquarie Grove Room, the cars were provided by Chevs4u and the location photos were done at the insanely gorgeous Pepper Tree Ridge B&B.
