Kate and Jarad have been together for almost 7 years and they are such a good couple and mummy and daddy to Jake and Hayden. Kate is my husband’s sister so this wedding was extra special and there were more tears than usual (from me). The wedding and picnic reception was at Nurragingy Reserve and their boys had teddy bears with the rings attached – so cute! Kate’s friends Amanda and Sarah did an amazing job setting up and decorating the picnic shed. The wedding was relaxed and everyone had a great time – I highly recommend picnic receptions. I even got changed after the location photos into a dress and heels!!

You may notice Rachael has a thing for gumboots…we did a session in the last few weeks with gumboots, an umbrella and a kayak – you can see it here.

What an incredible wedding with incredible locations – I loved how Camelot looked like it was out of the English countryside! Kim and Jarrad have a beautiful little family and I felt so privileged to capture their day. The reception was held at Menangle House and I can’t recommend it enough, the service and the food – all top quality and very welcoming. Some highlights from the day – the kisses from Charlotte and her loving words to Kim, the kid’s activity books and personalised gingerbread people from the reception and very heartfelt speeches by Kim, Jarrad and their mothers.

Tonia and John wanted to find a location in Sydney for their portraits that was different and not the cliche eastern suburbs beach, harbour bridge type location. When I told them Madeleine and Marc suggested Cockatoo Island they were sold! Tonia and John had the sunset shift so we had a lot of fun with the low light and the sun shining through the crane structures.
