Madeleine and Marc suggested to have their portrait session at Cockatoo Island as they had enjoyed a weekend away there recently. I love all the grunge and history to the island but the best part was how open to crazy ideas they were. The first photo of the session I asked them to stand in garbage bin holders – they didn’t even flinch! They work in TV and Radio and are happy to be creative, so please enjoy the giggles and craziness of Madeleine and Marc!

When Rachael told me they wanted to do something at the Royal National Park for their Engagement Portrait Session and that they would be bringing a bright yellow canoe, gumboots and a steel bucket I jumped for joy! I get so excited when I see props! Rach and Mark love the outdoors and this was a perfect setting for them. She also brought the gorgeous field flowers and I provided the bright umbrella. I kept hearing the comment “It doesn’t feel like a wedding” throughout the day. Fay couldn’t believe that the relaxed wedding she had planned had come to fruition – everyone was having a great time and noone was stressing. Guests had come from the USA, UK and Perth – it was a truly International Wedding as Fay and David met whilst working in London. I loved Fay’s flowing Lisa Ho wedding dress and the bridesmaid’s Witchery dresses – so stylish! But it was all about those shoes by Gary Castles. The ceremony was held last Thursday on the foreshore of the Parramatta River at the Sydney Rowing Club, next to the heritage Abbotsford Boatshed. Although we only had 15 minutes for the location photos, many funny things happened including a massive fake fish in a boat that we initially thought could be real and the rowers bringing their crafts out on the water. Two words – cheeky ladies! The cake was by Planet Cake and the figurines are of Fay, David and their gorgeous daughter Amelie.
