After months of trying to get the right weather we were blessed with an absolutely magical autumn afternoon at the Norman Lindsay Gallery Gardens. For 90 minutes we all played in the gardens with bubbles, a tea set and the fallen leaves. Oh and we read a great book too! Thank you to the Reeves family for sharing such a great afternoon with me – LOVED being a part of your family!

I had never been to Swain Gardens before and didn’t know what to expect. When I arrived I was wowed by its feeling of being hidden, like you were discovering a secret garden – it was so lovely! Kirsten grew up in the local area so Swain Gardens was a family favourite – including Chloe, her parent’s Golden Retriever! Kirsten and Tamatea were prepared with a van full of props. I think my favourites were their cool laid-back bikes. On a side note, their tattoos represent something from their family history which I thought was very special.

Naomi and Nick’s Wedding is not far away so we decided instead of a big portrait session that I could take a few pics at my home which is also where I have my showroom. It worked in perfectly with their love of vintage 1970s style and my crumbling old backyard ;) . We did this all in less than 5 minutes and it was almost dark. Considering they had never met me before I think we did pretty well for bringing out some lovely and natural moments!

Susanne and Charlie. What can I say? A couple in love with the cheekiness of being teenagers. They met in the Newtown town square and they both work in the area. Charlie even does tours around the neighbourhood of the graffiti! They went with a black and white theme, showcasing the great colours of their neighbourhood. The historical flour mills made for a great backdrop. I am very much looking forward to these two beautiful people exchanging vows in April and bringing their two families together ♥
