Annie and Dan’s Wedding – Mandalay Reception – Lane Cove

Annie and Dan, or what I like to call them now – Dannie (like Brangelina!) had an incredibly relaxed wedding at the Mandalay on Saturday. Everything was very well organised by Annie and Dan was the appreciative husband in his speech. I was touched by Dan’s heartfelt speech to his parents (yes there were tears on my part) and I also laughed at the childhood stories that his sister, Vanessa had to tell! Please enjoy these pics from what seemed like the perfect wedding day (we will ignore the humidity part)!

Laura and Mark (Zoe and Jessie too!) – Portraits – Sirius Cove, Mosman

Two engagement sessions with doggies in the one weekend – how spoilt am I! Zoe and Jessie are very active dogs and love the water so this session was a little more active and crazy! Laura and Mark love their cattle dogs and I can see why – they make a great little family Sirius Cove was a gorgeous location with lots of great little doggie families. Enjoy the human and doggie smooches!

Sandrine, Ly and Odyssey – Phillip Bay, Sydney

What a lovely morning spent on the beach. This was my first engagement session with a doggie – I was so excited when Sandrine and Ly told me about Odyssey! She is an important part of their family so they couldn’t imagine doing the photos without her! We almost had the beach to ourselves so Odyssey was able to run around and play in the sand while her mum and dad were getting their smoochy pics done.

Melinda and Adam – E-Session – Hyde Park, Sydney

Do you think Adam has a problem smiling? You wouldn’t think so from these photos but also with Melinda around it was much easier to make him laugh! Melinda and Adam are getting married on 10/10/10 and I look forward to the challenge of making Adam smile again The session was done at Hyde Park and it was a glorious day after so many rainy and oppressively hot and humid days!

Pip and Gareth’s Wedding – Beecroft, Putney and Epping

40 degree day and we survived! Ceremony at Beecroft Anglican Church, Photos at Bennelong Park, Putney and Reception at the gorgeous Araluen at Epping.

Some awesome things to note from Pip and Gareth’s Wedding :
1. The bridesmaids had their own style of dresses and shoes
2. They had their own colour bouquet too!
3. Pip had pink tulle added to her beautiful princess skirt.
4. Pip had the coolest plait in her hair with her curls.
5. Pip’s mum claims not to like photos and hides but she gave me big smiles
6. Despite the 40 degree day, noone fainted during the 90 minute church service and it was hotter in the church than outside!
7. We were still able to get a lot of great shots despite only having 20 minutes for the formal location photos with a big bridal party.
8. With the threat of thunderstorms, it started to rain the minute we had to leave for the reception (perfect timing).
9. My assistant Renee anticipating what I needed each step of the way – you are a lifesaver, thank you!
10. I got these photos to Pip and Gareth 10 minutes before they had to board their plane for their honeymoon.

Amy and Roth’s Wedding – Adelaide Hills

There were tears. Lots of tears. And that was just from me! Amy and Roth, thank you for inviting me to capture your day. You truly made me feel part of the family and I was very touched by your ceremony and also your speeches. I wish you all the best for your long and happy marriage and I look forward to flying down again so we can do your ‘trash/love the dress’ session. Would love to also go back to Adelaide for more weddings – I am so in love with Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills! And the rocky beaches are great too!

Ceremony was at Craigmore Church, photos at Uleybury Winery and the reception was at Gumeracha Town Hall. The cars, a convertible BMW and Mini Coopers were provided by Roth’s brother who works for BMW – nice!

Tash and Robbie – Trash and Love the Dress

Have you heard of Trashing the Dress? I prefer to call it Love the Dress as it is all about showing off your favourite item from your wedding day! Tash and Robbie were willing to throw away any worries about wrecking their attire and delved into the crazy wilderness of Hallett Cove in Adelaide. This wilderness use to be a glacier – like in Norway – very spectacular! I love the pebbly beach although it wasn’t too comfortable for Tash

Unfortunately Tash was not happy with her wedding photos (another photographer) so two years on she decided to take the opportunity for another session to show off her love for Robbie and her dress in spectacular fashion! I love how unique Tash’s dress was with the blue chiffon and the matching veil with blue embroidery.

Melanie and Kai’s ESession – Balmoral Beach and Bather’s Pavillion

Mel and I had been chatting online for a couple of weeks about her gorgeous beach wedding on the Central Coast and I could feel a real connection and felt that we would get along well in person and I was right! Mel and Kai are such open and loving people (just like myself). And Kai, yes it is true – you had the whole rockstar thing going on when you were strutting it on the wharf and the beach – tall, black shirt with jeans and the ultra cool shades! Thanks guys for such a fun time, I look forward to meeting all your friends and family in March, especially those from Norway and capturing great moments like we did for the ESession I absolutely love Bather’s Pavillion both as a venue but also for photos! I highly recommend it for your wedding reception

Annie and Dan’s E-Session – Bankstown – Garrison Point

When a couple tell me they are not photogenic (and it happens sometimes), I usually expect them to be quite awkward in front of the camera and not feel comfortable. But Annie and Dan were naturals and are absolutely amazing in front of the camera so all I can say is maybe they are good liars hehe But seriously, I want to thank them so much for being patient to have the most perfect weather for their sunrise session on Saturday. We postponed I think it was 5 times because of the unpredictable summer storms. Annie and I had been chatting for months about this session and we really couldn’t believe when it came along! Annie and Dan have a great connection and were so cute when I told them to stand in front of a stone wall and be goofy, there was ear-pulling, tickling, fish kissing and model posing! Thank you sooo sooo much guys, I can’t wait for March 6 at The Mandalay in Lane Cove!

And I just love the series of photos we got as the sun was rising – a magical time of day!

Stacey and John’s E-Session – Secret Location in Bankstown

I have two favourite secret locations, and both of them are in the Bankstown area This one has been described as a scene from Twilight in the forest. It wasn’t as green for this session but it still looks beautiful. As soon as Stacey remembered this she ditched the beach idea and said “Twilight location please!” Thank you to Stacey and John who brought flowers and hats and THAT awesome purple dress and Stacey’s gorgeous purple hair too!! I love it when my clients personalise their sessions – I always want to bring out who they are in their images.
