Yet another day filled with good luck rain! And yet another great couple happy to charge on in the wind and rain. Nothing would stop them enjoying this fun-filled day. The stretch Porsches looked very cool and I was trying hard to keep up with them on the freeway ;) But the best part of the day was to see the devotion Gemma and Kendrick have for each other. It was also lovely to have a bride with my name. Being a Gemma entitles you to an instantly awesome nickname of Gem and when people call me that I feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. It was interesting to hear the speeches which sounded a little like the ones from my own wedding “Gemma is very organised and cares about people a lot.” Congrats Gem and Pud – wishing you all the best for the future and I hope you have an incredible time in Japan and Vanuatu!

We played chicken with the rain all day and won. Naomi and Nick got ready together and decided to have their location photos before the ceremony which proved to be the right decision because after the ceremony it did not stop raining! They successfully pulled off a relaxed celebration with close friends and family at Brought Mill farm B&B just outside of Berry. The South Coast of NSW has the most beautiful farmland and around Berry everything is green, green, green! Naomi and Nick chose to go with autumn themed colours with a focus on orange, brown and greens. Naomi wore a 50s inspired dress for the location photos and for the ceremony got changed into her mum’s wedding dress. As well as doing some fun photos at the farm we took a drive to Saddleback Mountain at the back of Kiama and took some shots whilst watching the massive rainstorm roll in. The darkening sky was maginificent to watch and we just made it in time back to the car before it started bucketing down. Naomi and Nick are now moving to England and will spend 3-4 months cycling across Europe for their honeymoon – a trip they have been dreaming about for a long time.

Dress – 1950s Vintage off Ebay and Naomi’s mother’s wedding dress from the 70s. / Ceremony and Reception Venue – Broughton Mill Farm B&B / Flowers – Always Flowers at Kiama / Pure Hair and Makeup (Pure Health) at Berry / Celebrant – Ritefully by Nicola Sinclair    /   Nick’s Suit – Russell Wade Clothing (custom suit)

These lovebirds found each other when they were at a USA summer camp. They survived a long distance relationship and grew closer when Adam moved to Australia. On Saturday16 April it was the hardest rain I had ever seen on a wedding day and yet the smiles on the bride and groom stayed all day. Nothing would pull them down on the day. We had heard Macquarie Lighthouse was flooded so we joined the many bridal parties at Martin Place and snuck into the Westin for drinks where we found a private room with metal beads hanging from the ceiling! The whole day was much fun and I was impressed at how cosy Doltone House felt despite it being a big name in the wedding industry. Congrats Nay and Adam!!

A glorious day wedding where the sun shone throughout the ceremony and then decided to disappear soon after! But there was no rain which seems to be a miracle lately for autumn weddings! Susanne and Charlie are what I call cheeky teens – they have been together for 7 years and still act like they have just started dating – I love it! The speeches were very moving from all family members and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room! I love Susanne’s sense of vintage style – everything just went perfectly together. Congrats guys, enjoy WA!!!
