Fiona and Garth love the beach and grew up around Coogee so it was a natural choice for their engagement photos. They came prepared with a change of clothes so they could reveal their true nature in their boardshorts. Fiona and I didn’t allow Garth to change his shirt again as we both love red hehe Although we had to get up very early for this shoot it was very worth it and we were all giggling and having a great time. One of my favourite shots was when Garth was seducing Fiona on the rocks – I felt like they were on some deserted tropical island – it was very very hot!!

Lauren and Mark work very hard in their professions and they haven’t had much quality time together lately so it was great to capture these moments where they could relax and just enjoy each other’s company (and mine haha). They asked me to suggest a location so I picked a spot where we could do some lovely romantic photos by the wharf and amongst the trees and then some fun photos on the play equipment. I was impressed by how much Lauren and Mark embraced the play equipment and abadoned traditional poses to play up for the camera! Yay! See you at the wedding and I promise I will try to be a guest for at least 5 minutes on the wedding day ;)

During my trip to Europe I was lucky enough to photograph really great couples with my fellow photographers, Anna Jarske and Derek Latham. Päivi and Jukka have such lively personalities and were happy to smooch and laugh the entire session. We caught a small wooden ferry across the harbour to the peaceful Pihlajasaari Island with bathing huts, boathouses, a lovely restaurant and a great beach! Anna Jarske and I captured their wedding at the at the famous Helsinki landmark, The Lutheran Cathedral the following Saturday (stay tuned for photos!).

Louise and Mat are homebodies and love just hanging out together in their newly renovated home. They also enjoy being big kids so we walked down to the local park before playing some Wii bowling and Mat chilling out with the guitar. I love that more and more of my clients are taking my advice to really personalise their portrait sessions so they can have memories that really represent who they are and what they love to do! Enjoy watching Lou and Mat having fun from this morning!
