Anna and I were required to cover the Bride’s getting ready photos and formal portraits for this wedding in Kouvola before we headed back to Helsinki to photograph Paivi and Jukka’s Wedding at the Lutheran Cathedral. What I loved about Kouvola were all the rich yellow crop fields – just a shame we couldn’t get close enough to one so they could ‘frolic’ through the over abundance of colour! They were able to secure a 1948 Mercedes-Benz 170V for their wedding car. Satu’s dress is from Ladylike Wedding Gown Boutique and the medallion attached to her bouquet with the photo of her father was made at Milla Noora – Website is only in Finnish.

Satu has the cutest smile I have seen on a bride and you can see Tero is absolutely bowled over by his bride. The feeling to this wedding day was relaxed and everyone was having a lot of fun. Satu and Tero were happy to play in front of the camera which brought out their devotion to each other.

The Finnish will understand the sign on the right :)

Seeing each other for the first time. Satu starting shedding tears and it made me do the same too!  Lucky I could hide behind my camera :)

Anna Jarske and I had the privilege of photographing Päivi and Jukka’s Wedding which took place at the famous landmark, Helsinki’s Lutheran Cathedral. After trying to avoid the tourists (it was a beautiful summer’s day) we were able to take some photos around this spectacular building. The reception was held at Katajanokan Kasino and had a lovely outdoor entertaining area and cosy room for dining. All the guests were in great spirits, partying inside and outside as the night progressed. Päivi’s beautiful dress was made by Swedish company, Nixa. If you are interested in seeing their engagement session we photographed before the wedding day please visit my blog post here.

Emilia and Ville are very passionate people and I knew that when I met them in Finland two years ago that their portraits would rock!  I was not disappointed. This is one of my all-time favourite sessions. I love vintage styling and I know that Emilia lives and breathes it so the photos are a great representation of who they really are (which is one of my goals in every session/wedding I photograph!).

The Pasila Train Yards in Helsinki, Finland were a perfect backdrop for Emilia and Ville’s vintage portrait session. Emilia loves the classic pinup style of the 40s and 50s and therefore the session was very much inspired by that style. When we were just finishing the session a Pontiac was spotted down a side street – how lucky were we!! Enjoy the glamour of my gorgeous friends, Emilia and Ville :)

I met Charlie and Jenni when they attended Sabrina and Phil’s Wedding in Sydney in November last year and I was so excited to hear they live in Finland. They recommended me for Nina and Timo’s wedding (blog post coming soon) in Hämeenlinna, Finland that I just photographed on July 10. We met up the day before the wedding to have a mini-tour of their city, Tampere and also to get some pics of their new family – 5 month old Eliel! What a cute family! As you can see, Charlie and Eliel are big Everton supporters. Thanks for everything, you are such a lovely little family and I wish you the best with your new home and I look forward to seeing Eliel grow up on Facebook and hopefully in person :)
