Kate and I met over Facebook – we both share the same maiden name and we both know the minister marrying her on April 4! Kate and Jono were so busy leading up to the wedding that we hadn’t even met yet so they didn’t know what I was like and vice versa.

We met up last Sunday night for their engagement session and it was great that we we hit it off straight away and plus Kate has had Jono in training for photos for years ;)

They love doing goofy/crazy/fun shots which was great and made for something a bit different!

I am looking forward to your wedding! Keep up the great work at being crazy in front of the camera…I love the energy!

I am a firm believer that it is never too early to be prepared for Christmas (I am sure you know what it is like with the last minute rush to write cards and buy presents and prepare food and the house!). I have a big storage box that I fill throughout the year with presents – it is a pleasant surprise when I realise in November when wrapping presents that I have got almost everyone covered.

I have found the most popular gifts by far are photo-based – I always get overhelming responses when I give relatives and friends photo gifts. Have you considered giving gifts such as albums, prints and canvases?

I have started designing Christmas Cards to be offered as part of my portrait session packages. An example is below. I will be out of the country from mid October to mid November so I urge you to book your sessions before I leave so you allow enough time for design, printing and posting your cards and presents. Enquire about my availability here.

We celebrated my nephew’s 4th birthday today (his actual birthday was on Thursday though so he was lucky and got a second cake!). We did lots of running around in the backyard and playing with balloons and plastic lawn mowers. It was great to have the camera out taking pics of the family…I haven’t had much time in the last 6 months to do that! Here are just two of my favourite pics from the day – blowing out the candles and hanging out with mummy – Kate.
