This was the third time we had tried to plan a portrait session due to the crazy weather lately and Christine told me she just had to do the session today (last Friday). It cleared over lunchtime and then when I was driving to the boatshed the dark clouds followed me. No rain yet. This looks good. A few minutes after I arrived it poured down and the wind whipped up. Oh dear. When Christine and Dave arrived we had a good laugh about it and decided to do a few photos in the crazy rain and then postpone to later in the week. After those few photos, the weather cleared up and we quickly headed out in the boat to have about an hour of great light, including sunshine. As we pulled the boat in to finish off, the rain came again. How is that for timing! Thanks to Christine and Dave for being such great sports about it all – we ended up having such a great time!! Audley Boatshed is a favourite location of mine for photos – it can be so peaceful throughout the week.

Kate and I met over Facebook – we both share the same maiden name and we both know the minister marrying her on April 4! Kate and Jono were so busy leading up to the wedding that we hadn’t even met yet so they didn’t know what I was like and vice versa.

We met up last Sunday night for their engagement session and it was great that we we hit it off straight away and plus Kate has had Jono in training for photos for years ;)

They love doing goofy/crazy/fun shots which was great and made for something a bit different!

I am looking forward to your wedding! Keep up the great work at being crazy in front of the camera…I love the energy!

On Monday 22 December Maurice, Mel and I headed out after 6.30pm to Deepwater Park off Henry Lawson Drive near East Hills. It was almost deserted which made for great photo opportunities! It also made for some cheeky moments instigated by Maurice. Unfortunately those pics are not for public show ;) Maurice and Mel were such good sports, climbing into the rainforest (that Deepwater tried to grow) and lying down on the overgrown plants. Thank goodness we didn’t see any snakes or funnel webs! Thanks again for such a great time Maurice and Mel, you two are naturals in front of the camera and I look forward to snapping more happy moments on March 7!

I have picked out a few favourites to share.

On Sunday 14 December I met Sharon and Les Scott for a sunrise portrait session as a 10th birthday present for their two lovely border collies, Boof and Bundy! They look much younger than 10 and we had a great time running around Brays Bay Reserve (Concord) watching the sun come up – such a beautiful time of day! Thanks to Sharon and Les for allowing me to share this special time with them. Here are some of my favourites from our session…
