Shaiza got changed into her third and last outfit for the reception – an incredible green beaded ensemble. It was incredibly heavy and I was worried she would fall over but this woman know how to wear this traditional costume. The reception was at the Orion Centre in Campsie for more than 300 people. Food, speeches and a ‘leaving’ tradition. The ‘leaving’ tradition is where close friends and family say goodbye to Shaiza as she is effectively leaving the family for good. It is a very emotional time and I felt very privileged to be there.

Kate and I met over Facebook – we both share the same maiden name and we both know the minister marrying her on April 4! Kate and Jono were so busy leading up to the wedding that we hadn’t even met yet so they didn’t know what I was like and vice versa.

We met up last Sunday night for their engagement session and it was great that we we hit it off straight away and plus Kate has had Jono in training for photos for years ;)

They love doing goofy/crazy/fun shots which was great and made for something a bit different!

I am looking forward to your wedding! Keep up the great work at being crazy in front of the camera…I love the energy!

I have found my new favourite location for couple and family photos! Bec and Charlie were so wonderful in being adventurous – including climbing trees, braving the spider infested jungle and Charlie going topless (these pics are for Bec’s eyes only)!

I can’t tell you how lucky I feel each week to spend this time with each couple. I look forward to your big wedding in November and keep up the great ‘work’ at being an incredible couple :)

I have two other portrait sessions that I need to post from a couple of weeks back so please come back in the next week for more fun pics!

Friday was a great day for photos – it didn’t rain in the afternoon when we were doing Debra and John’s pre-wedding session! We met at the gorgeous Lambeth Reserve in Picnic Point which has a great walking path along the Georges River. Although it was a pre-wedding session we could probably call it Elana’s Portrait Session because she was such a natural in front of the camera and loved posing for me! And Carina was such a cutie and was attached to her Daddy! Deb and John, I look forward to the wedding in May! Enjoy these pics in the meantime.
