I first met Melanie and Antony when they asked me to take photos for their businesses. They are a very funky couple and run businesses in graphic design and social media (among other things). We had a lot of fun doing a more relaxed style of commercial portraits and even snuck in some smoochy ones at the end of the session. When they came back from an incredible trip to India and Nepal they told me they were engaged.

Melanie runs the graphic design business Creative Tank and she has helped me with developing my new branding which will be launched at the end of June. She worked tirelessly to make sure I was happy with my logo. She has so many great ideas and links it with your vision for your business. I highly recommend her services. Message me if you want some more information.

Now to the ‘In-Love’ Session! Many laughs were had as Mel and Ant enjoyed champagne and cake at their gorgeous picnic spot under a big old tree in Centennial Park. Not sure how much champagne was actually drunk but Antony was very willing to frolic through the countryside without my prompting ;) Please enjoy the gorgeousness that is Mel and Ant!

If you are inspired by couples who create the details of their wedding themselves then you will be impressed by the effort of Bruce and Bederina. The placecards, invitations and other stationery items were designed and printed by Bruce. The planter boxes, the placecard holders and the wishing well were made by Bruce. The photobooth with family photo wall was another original creation. And the Krispy Kreme cake was put together on the day by the couple. I loved in particular the little ornaments of old cameras on tripods dressed up as bride and groom as their cake decorations. Bruce even went around at various times of the day with his video camera capturing moments!

You see, Bruce and Bederina LOVE photography and it is how they first met. They provided me with such a glorious location to photograph and also many very emotional and fun moments to capture. It has been a very tough time in the lead up to the wedding with family health and it was great to see that the wedding was a time to celebrate the love of two very special people. I wish you all the best for your married life together and I thank you for trusting in me to capture your day.

These lovebirds found each other when they were at a USA summer camp. They survived a long distance relationship and grew closer when Adam moved to Australia. On Saturday16 April it was the hardest rain I had ever seen on a wedding day and yet the smiles on the bride and groom stayed all day. Nothing would pull them down on the day. We had heard Macquarie Lighthouse was flooded so we joined the many bridal parties at Martin Place and snuck into the Westin for drinks where we found a private room with metal beads hanging from the ceiling! The whole day was much fun and I was impressed at how cosy Doltone House felt despite it being a big name in the wedding industry. Congrats Nay and Adam!!

A glorious day wedding where the sun shone throughout the ceremony and then decided to disappear soon after! But there was no rain which seems to be a miracle lately for autumn weddings! Susanne and Charlie are what I call cheeky teens – they have been together for 7 years and still act like they have just started dating – I love it! The speeches were very moving from all family members and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room! I love Susanne’s sense of vintage style – everything just went perfectly together. Congrats guys, enjoy WA!!!
